This policy applies to the website and app at scanner.swissrave.com and all associated subdomains. It is governed by the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We only collect data that is necessary for the operation of the app:

• Account Data: Email, password hash, display name, optional profile picture.
• Content Data: Uploaded vinyl photos, scanned releases, notes, tags, collection and archive settings.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, clicks, scan and error events — aggregated to improve the app.
• Technical Data: IP address, browser/device information, timestamps — as required for security and operation.
• Discogs Link (optional): OAuth token to sync with your Discogs account.

• Providing and operating the app's features (scanning, archiving, sharing).
• AI-powered cover recognition and matching with the Discogs database.
• Authentication, account management, and security measures.
• Billing for paid plans.
• Improving the app, error analysis, and product statistics (aggregated).
• Communicating important service updates.

For the operation of our service, we cooperate with carefully selected service providers. They are contractually bound to confidentiality and compliance with applicable data protection laws:

• Hosting & Database: Cloud infrastructure (EU region, where possible).
• Authentication & Storage: Backend-as-a-Service for account management and file storage.
• AI Processing: Called AI models for image and cover recognition (images are transmitted solely for recognition purposes).
• Discogs — if the link is activated, data is synchronized with the Discogs API.
• Payment Processing — for paid plans, this is handled by an external payment provider.

We use technically necessary cookies and `localStorage` to save your login, settings, and collection status. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

We store your data as long as you have an account with us. If you delete your account, personal content will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days — with the exception of data subject to legal retention obligations (e.g., for accounting).

You have the right to:

• Access information about the data stored about you;
• Rectify inaccurate data;
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten");
• Restrict processing;
• Data portability;
• Withdraw consent.
