Terms of use for the RaveScanner app and its associated online services.
Last updated: May 20, 2026
These General Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the use of the RaveScanner web and mobile application (hereinafter “App”) and the associated online services at scanner.swissrave.com.
The providers are DEEPBEATS GmbH and the R.A.V.E. association, Mühledorfstrasse 15, 3018 Bern, Switzerland (hereinafter “Provider”). By registering for or using the App, the user (hereinafter “User”) accepts these T&Cs.
The App enables the scanning, recognition, and archiving of vinyl records using camera recognition and matching with the Discogs database. The scope of features and availability may vary depending on the selected plan (see /pricing).
The Provider strives for the highest possible availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance and updates may lead to temporary interruptions.
A user account is required to use certain features. The User is obliged to provide truthful information and to keep their access credentials confidential.
The User is responsible for all activities that occur under their account. In case of suspected misuse, the Provider must be informed immediately.
The following paid products are available (for details and current prices, see /pricing):
Prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include statutory VAT unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions are paid in advance for the respective billing period.
Cancellation: Subscriptions can be canceled at any time via “Settings → Manage Subscription” to take effect at the end of the current billing period. All paid features will remain available until the end of the period; after that, the account will be automatically downgraded to the Free plan. Amounts already paid will not be refunded.
Upgrade (e.g., PRO → DJ): Takes effect immediately. The prorated remaining balance of the previous plan is automatically credited, and the difference is charged to the registered payment method via immediate billing (“proration”). When upgrading from an active Scan Pass to a subscription, the prorated remaining value of the Scan Pass is credited to your account balance.
Downgrade (e.g., Yearly → Monthly or DJ → PRO): Takes effect only at the end of the current, already paid period. The services of the higher plan remain active until then. No refund will be issued for the amount already paid.
Payment Processing: Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.). By making a purchase, the User also accepts the terms of the payment service provider. Invoices/receipts are provided via email or through the customer portal (“Settings → Manage Subscription”).
Payment Default: If a payment fails, we will automatically retry the charge multiple times. If payment continues to fail, the subscription will be terminated, and access to paid features will be revoked.
Right of Withdrawal: As these are digital services provided immediately upon conclusion of the contract with the User's express consent, the User waives any right of withdrawal.
Price Changes: The Provider may adjust prices and the scope of services for future billing periods. Changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email or in the app and will only apply from the next renewal.
The User undertakes not to misuse the App, in particular:
Content uploaded by the User (e.g., photos of vinyls) remains the property of the User. The User grants the Provider a simple, non-exclusive right of use to the extent necessary for the provision of the services (scanning, recognition, display in their own archive).
Discogs metadata is subject to the terms of Discogs Inc. The “Discogs” trademark and other mentioned trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
The Provider is liable for damages only in cases of intent and gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The Provider does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of data obtained from third-party sources (especially Discogs).
The Provider reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. The User will be informed of significant changes via email or within the App. Continued use of the App after the changes come into effect shall be deemed as acceptance.
Swiss law shall apply exclusively, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The exclusive place of jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law, is Bern, Switzerland.
